An Epic Indian-Italian Wedding in Positano
Man oh man. Every once in a while, the opportunity of a lifetime presents itself to you and you feel so incredibly grateful that it does.
Alexandra, (who happens to be Kailyn’s cousin) and Jaffer got engaged and instantly started dreaming about a wedding in Italy, which is where the family is from. Alex, being of Italian descent and Jaffer being of Indian descent decided to tie the knot in Positano – a more central location for both families and duh – one of the most beautiful backdrops you could ever have for a wedding!
99 of their closest family and friends enjoyed the stunning – and we mean STUNNING – views and vows of these two over a two day epic celebration which included both traditional and Indian wedding ceremonies.
The traditional ceremony was held at a cliffside restaurant called La Tagliatta, which really felt like we were on top of the world and the Indian ceremony was held at the palatial Hotel Palazzo Murat.
One of things we love most about destination weddings is the time afforded for the two families to really get to know each other, and become one big family while they celebrate. And get to know each other we did! 25 of us all packed our bags and piled into three 8 seater vans to road trip across the country to visit the towns where Kailyn’s grandparents were from a few days after the wedding #mybigfatitalianfamilyvacation anyone?! (Keep an eye out for a special ‘go explore’ blog post on this to come!)
The whole experience was an absolute dream and we were in our creative element photographing these two in Positano. Today also happens to be their one year anniversary, so join us as we reminisce and relive the day through their photos and Moving Portrait video. It’s a long one, but you won’t want to miss any of it!
