Samantha & Robert came to us looking to have a very private ceremony with just their immediate family in attendance. What meant the most to them was their marriage, so we crafted a custom day for them which included photos of them getting ready, the ceremony and portraits of the two of them.

One of the most important things that we do with a smaller scale day (and any wedding day, really) is try to create a storyline with photos, and not just capture the events as they happen. We piece together their personalities, their families and their style to showcase a beautiful tale of who they are and what they mean to each other.
To help tell the story, we did a Moving Portrait that they could then later show their family and friends who were not in attendance – a way to include them while still focusing on the intimacy of those moments as they were happening.
Samantha started her day by getting ready at Langdon Hall and their private ceremony was held in a small chapel nearby. They really love the look of outdoor photos and wanted a forest as a backdrop for their portraits to create the intimate atmosphere.

He is able to pull natural and real emotions out and capture those special intimate moments. He was super friendly and put us both at ease immediately and even helped to calm any stress we were feeling that day. His photos are more than pictures, they’re truly art. He has such a creative eye and knows exactly how to capture each and every moment. We were beyond happy with all of our pictures and our Moving Portrait, he did a fantastic job!”
